Thanks to all those who have pledged support so far! Fundraising is even more important than last year, as we will not have the £8000 Heritage Lottery VE Celebrations money to fall back on. Some potential sponsors have asked for a list of specific items which need paying for. Of course, any donation, big or small is welcome. Every penny will be put to good use. But don't forget, if you are a business which is a first time sponsor of the arts, we can apply to have your donation doubled by Arts and Business. This particular scheme is for donations/pledges of £250 and upwards received before April 2nd. We will acknowledge your sponsorship of specific cultural elements of the event, such as acts, children's shows, bands, stages, choir etc. Carousel and other rides: £1500.00 Road closure fees: £800.00 Main stage: £750.00 Artistes accommodation: £300.00 Handbags of Harmony Choir: £1000.00 Security: £500.00 Toilet hire: £300.00 First Aid: £100.00 Entertainments: £3000.00 Theatre performances: £1000 Blue Plaque history project: £650 Administration £1000.00 Stage Management : £1000.00 Chair and table hire £250.00 Sponsor a safety barrier at £5 a time. Sponsor a blue plaque at £10 a time (every building will have a plaque showing who lived and worked there in 1860, linked to a children's history project and street map). Sponsor a flag at £12 a time and help make the street beautiful for the day. Sponsor the programme printing at £50 a page. All sponsors will be suitably acknowledged.
